CannaCocoon

CannaCocoon is a Mindfulness Based Psychedelic Therapy® clinic in Santa Rosa, California co-founded by husband and wife Chris and Lani Lee. CannaCocoon specializes in Cannabis Assisted Psychedelic Therapy® (CAPT), a cutting edge modality developed by Daniel McQueen of the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, and integrates Chris and Lani’s eclectic interdisciplinary backgrounds towards a shared vision.

Our intention is to support the health and well-being of our community and future generations by cultivating embodiment and resilience. CannaCocoon teaches mindfulness-based somatic practices in group and individual settings to help clients reclaim their inherent ability to heal and foster right-relationship with self, others and the earth for the benefit of all beings. We celebrate diversity, all bodies are welcome here.

We recognize that we are practicing this sacred work on unceded indiginous land, and honor the Pomo, Miwok, Wappo and other tribes native to this area. We also acknowledge the deep privilege of doing this work in the current socio-political climate where an estimated 40,000+ people are still incarcerated for Cannabis related offenses in the US, largely people of color, and recognize these as fellow Medicine People.

Practitioner’s Statement

I am passionate about contributing to the dynamic growth edge of the human potential by helping people navigate through their holotropic process of becoming fully themselves in order to bring their unique gifts into the world during this pivotal time in human history.

I specialize in energetic self care and boundaries for empaths, cultivating authenticity, conscious parenting, supporting those with giftedness and high sensitivity, helping women heal and reclaim their bodies after childbirth, and supporting aligned career transitions into psychedelic therapy and other health and wellness fields. I offer CAPT sessions both to clients as an adjunct to psychotherapy, and also to mental health professionals as experiential training in the emerging field of psychedelic therapy.

I am a third generation mystic with an upbringing steeped in eclectic earth-based spirituality, and a mother initiated into parenthood through a 62hr homebirth labor and natural childbirth. My work is inspired by the potent intersection of science and spirituality and informed by decades of exploration in Psychological Shamanism, the Alchemy of Initiation, Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, Dagara Grief Rituals, Spiritual Massage, Reiki, Quantum Touch, Myofascial Unwinding, Authentic Movement, Butoh Dance, Ecstatic Dance, Ecopsychology, yoga, personal journeywork, and backpacking.

I dedicate this work to my son and all our children. May we remember how to live in alignment with ourselves, in service to the resilience of our children’s children. I honor my family, my many teachers and our lineage.

Christopher Lee, CMT, CAPT-G

Certified Massage Therapist (CMT#71439)

Cannabis Assisted Psychedelic Therapy Guide

Chris is an internationally acclaimed electronic music producer and DJ, turned energy worker and mindfulness coach in his own private practice and an educator on the training leadership team for the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness’ Psychedelic Sitter’s School program. As credentialed psychedelic guide, he draws from decades of musical expertise to create individualized sound healing landscapes attuning to his client’s holistic unfolding, thus supporting release, integration and wholeness. His work is amplified by the Vibroacoustic Sound Healing Mat, which sends low frequency vibrations of the music through the body.

Chris’ mindfulness coaching is an offering born from his own healing journey. Experiencing anxiety attacks, depression, chronic pain and chronic fatigue in his early thirties motivated him to seek optimal health and healing from a variety of practitioners and modalities before finding relief and aligning with his life purpose: to help others ease suffering by journeying inwards and reconnecting with their own wholeness. Through trauma informed, somatic based, mindfulness and spiritual tools he now helps his clients to gain a better understanding of their internal experience and start to unwind and befriend deeply hidden parts of themselves.

Chris is a credentialed Mindfulness Based Psychedelic Therapy Guide with a specialty in Cannabis Assisted Psychedelic Therapy through Medicinal Mindfulness’ Psychedelic Sitters School, 2020-2021. Chris received his Massage Therapist certification from the Sebastopol Massage Therapy Center in 2016. He attended UC Santa Cruz as an Art and Music Major from 1999-2000 before electing to self-educate in electronic music production and photography while furthering his own artistic pursuits.

Practitioner’s Statement

I have a passion for the inner experience: Mapping, understanding, navigating and nurturing the content that arises through the somatic experience in the body. Often, the feelings that surface are ones that we have not felt completely. To get deeper, we need to understand the related internal relationships. Perhaps, there is fear, judgement, guilt or shame in the way or a protective part still holding onto the past.

Through working the physicality of the body I became interested in how our consciousness interacts with these physical, spiritual, and somatic parts of ourselves; the layering and patterning, connected vs disowned, the wide breadths of contradictions and opposites that we inhabit everyday. Coaxing them out, orienting in the complexity, finding our hurt, understanding the past, grieving the loss, repairing the damage, and building our internal support systems so that we can hold ourselves up and in-turn, those around us.

I was raised at the Sonoma Mountain Zen Center with an MFT father who taught me about the inner workings of the psyche and the importance of staying centered. Growing up, my mother was dedicated to hospice, helping people transition into the world beyond and her warm heart instilled in me a deep caring for others. As an adult, the initiation of parenthood still resonates in me as a transformational force like no other. Additionally, my work is informed by professional trainings and personal practices exploring the body- mind- spirit- nature connection through Susan Feinbloom’s Clairvoyant Psychotherapy, Melissa Patterson’s Somatic Awakening, Jung’s Active Imagination, alchemical journeywork, parts work, mindfulness coaching, shamanic healing modalities, Anatomy in Motion, Cranial Sacral Therapy, energy healing modalities, the creative process, and backpacking.
